Principles!  Principles!  How to stay true

When so many choices are coming at you?

 

Is it the law that makes you stop,

When choosing an avenue straight to the top?

 

Do you listen to rules from mom or dad,

When making decisions about good or bad?

 

Or is it your boss that draws the line

On good reputations or those not so fine?

 

Seems to me principles deep from within

Will guide you when taking a jab to the chin.

 

Carry those principles INSIDE of you,

And listen, to hear them say just what to do.
