Can You See Me Now?

Written by Cynthia Dwyer

Illustrated by Lynnette Schuepbach

It’s Philip’s birthday and he has a new camera. His younger sister, Cynthia, wants to be in the picture. In fact, she wants to be in EVERY picture! This simple yet revealing story captures the essence of relationships between siblings and the rivalry it can cause. It’s a lesson in kindness and understanding.

Cynthia Dwyer, EdS, grew up in Indiana, with a giant lilac bush outside her window. She provided district-level literacy support and taught graduate courses in reading and writing. Dwyer was a reading specialist, and was widely recognized for her many successful years as a public school teacher and an elementary and middle school principal. She passed away in 2009.

Lynnette Schuepbach, author and illustrator of Froggy Hollow, Shhhh!!! and Cat Time, chose watercolors to create the illustrations in this book.
