Lynnette Schuepbach
My hope is to share my creative joy with the world.
Lynnette Schuepbach is a self-taught artist/illustrator and author/poet with a Bachelor of Music Education degree !from SIUE. She used watercolor illustrations in Froggy Hollow, the first of her children’s stories to be published, and in subsequent books, Shhhh!!!, Cat Time, It's My Turn!, and Mya's Magical Math. She illustrated two books written by Cynthia Dwyer, Can You See Me Now? and Four-Eyed Phillip.
Lynnette added a chapter book, Run-Away Mind, when her grandchildren grew old enough to read the advanced stories. She also documented the life of David A. Ladd in the biography, Uff-da! What a Ride! and combined her poetry with the photography by artist, Brady Kesner in Floral Expressions.
Her challenge is trying different genres. Her first novel, Coincidentally Yours, a romance story for young adults, will be released in June.
She began combining words and paintings, in books which she wrote, illustrated and independently published. Lynnette gives presentations on writing, illustrating and publishing books to educational conventions, teacher institutes, pre-school – 12th grade student classes, libraries, PTO’s, and college literacy classes.
The teacher in her is hoping to provide parents with opportunities to expand teachable moments and the students have fun, colorful stories to read. Each of the books for children from 0 - 7 years have suggestions to help parents educate their children.
She has two adult sons, who are married to beautiful wives, and three grandchildren, Adrianna, Kade and Mya. She enjoys learning and encourages her children and grandchildren to continue to learn as long as possible.
In 2021, Schuepbach bought two acres from her family farm and built the home of her dreams. One acre is filled with wildflowers, and a labyrinth adds a level of spirituality to her wildflower field. It is her perfect spot of tranquility.
Schuepbach writes for her own amusement, adding bits of her life to each novel.
