NEGATIVE SILENCE
Silence is a mystery to hear.
It makes no noise, yet screams in ears.
It's been used for millions of years
To prevent or cause human tears.
Does silence mean it's all okay,
Or there's agenda tucked away?
Does silence mean a raise in pay,
Or I should take more time to play?
Are there secrets one must hide,
Powerful as the moon and tide?
It's really hard to keep my pride
When I hear nothing from your side.
Please, open up and share with me.
It's better than the mystery
Of what has been or what will be
When both of us start talking free.
