I AM THE HORIZON SEEKER

I look above and search for stars

That fade into the blackened trees.

When life has drug me to my knees,

I am the horizon seeker.

I look above to see the blue

Mix with yellow, purple, green.

When arguments are harsh and mean

I am the horizon seeker.

I climb to reach the mountain top

To see the earth touch the sky.

When long-time friendships fade and die.

I am the horizon seeker.

I watch how clouds form a line

Between the sun and pending rain.

When loving hearts react from pain,

I am the horizon seeker.

I see the sun arrive and leave.

Saying hello.  Saying good-bye.

When mixed-up feelings make me cry,

I am the horizon seeker.

Seeing the joint of heaven and earth,

Far in the distance, yet clearly there.

I wait for strength..just sit and stare.

I am the horizon seeker.
